Fir Trees Guesthouse B&B in Windermere is particularly special, with a highly commended AA 4 diamond grade for luxurious quality and comfort. This historic Victorian B&B is beautifully furnished and appointed, and was once a gentleman's residence dating from 1888. We are exclusively non-Smoking throughout, and within easy walking distance of both Windermere and Bowness villages. Lake Windermere and the steamers, as well as numerous restaurants and pubs serving delicious food for all tastes and prices are all located just a short distance from Fir Trees B&B. However within a few minutes walk of all these you are in open countryside, and the stunning Fells of the Central Lake District.

Inside this delightful B&B there is a beautiful pitch pine staircase and doors, both stunning original features. Fine antique furnishings and prints adorn the guesthouse, adding to it's charm and character. Breakfasts are special at Fir Trees Bed and Breakfast. Guests can expect a traditionally English style breakfast, cooked to perfection. For guests preferring something lighter, or for vegetarians, we have plenty of alternatives available.

Rooms Description

All our bedrooms are exquisite, and all are furnished and decorated to a very high standard. All rooms have a private bath or shower room en suite, tea & coffee-making facilities and televisions. A few, because of their particularly large size, are especially suitable for families. We're perfect for romantic weekend getaways to the Lakes, and bedrooms with either a 4 poster bed or a (very) large en suite bath and shower room are available equipped exclusively for that special break.

Specialities

Why not enjoy one of our many special offers or special break deals. Fir Trees offers all guests free day pass for fly fishing on High Newton, Ghyll Head and Dubbs reservoir on request and guests staying 2 nights or more with us receive free use of Parklands Country Club leisure facilities. From November through to January, mid week break specials are available. From Monday to Friday stay any 3 nights for £120 per couple (this excludes Christmas & New Year). The price includes full breakfast and free use of leisure facilities at Parklands Country Club.
