Kirkstone Pass B&B Inn is a rather special accommodation base in the Lake District. This charming inn, which serves exquisite food and real ales, is the highest Public House in the Lake District and the third highest Public House in England. The Inn has a long history, and records indicate the current structure was built in 1496. The Inn was rebuilt after having fallen derelict in 1847. The building sits at the top of the Kirkstone Pass at the junction of two roads, one leading to Ambleside, the other to Windermere. Guests can expect a homely atmosphere and friendly welcome. A choice of outdoor activites are available in the fells surrounding the inn, including cycling, walking, and snowboarding.
All rooms are comfortable and tastefully appointed and all have full en-suite facilities. Choose from three Double Rooms and One Triple Room (with 3 single beds) situated above the Inn. Our hearty meals are renowned and definitely for the hungry, and definitely not for those in a rush! We recommend larger parties of more than six telephone us to make reservations, particularly at busy times. We welcome both children and dogs, but request for the comfort of all that both be kept under control. The Inn offers an extensive main menu, and superb Sunday Roast Dinners!
