Grade II Listed Farmhouse B&B Near Hadrian's Wall, Ideal For Walkers/Cyclists, Farmhouse Breakfasts

Hillside Farm Bed and Breakfast is perfect for visits to Hadrian's Wall, and for both walkers and cyclists. Built in 1856 the farm house is a Grade 11 listed building in a conservation area just steps away from Hadrian’s wall. The Farm is a working farm which welcomes guests, and is located in the small village of Boustead Hill, near Burgh by Sands within the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The location offers stunning views overlooking Solway Firth marshes towards Scotland. The Hadrian's Wall National Trail and Hadrian's Cycleway pass past the farm and we are just 7 miles from the end of Hadrian's wall. Flexible arrival and breakfast times are available, and we offer transport to and from the trail for you and your baggage. A locked shed for bikes and puncture repair kit and tools are available as is ample off road parking. (cars/bikes can be left for the week).

Boustead Hill is a short walk to the end of the trail and after a hearty farmhouse breakfast there is time for you to walk to the end and catch the bus back into historic Carlisle in the afternoon. For the cyclist we are situated at the half way stage between St Bees and Wall's End cycle route. A Double room or a twin room are available, both of which have stunning views over the Solway coast. Both rooms share private access to private bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, and access to a private lounge to relax in. Ample parking is also available. Perfect for groups, we have recently converted our Georgian Farm Stable to a purpose designed camping barn. Facilities include cooking slabs, cutlery and crockery, free WC, a shower by meter, sleeping bags for hire and bathroom towels for hire. We can even arrange some food shopping for you or full English breakfast. There is no heating in the barn.
