Roa Island House is an imposing and unique 19th century house situated on the water's edge of Morcambe Bay near Barrow in Furness. Non smoking throughout (smoking is allowed in the garden area), the house enjoys expansive sea views and retains much of the charm and elegance of Edwardian times. We offer a warm, relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. Guests benefit from easy access to the superb Barrow Dock Museum, and nearby Ulverston and Cartmel. A unique feature of the house is the tower room which provided a landmark on Roa Island. Spend some quiet time here enjoying the spectacular views over the Bay and local areas.

Rooms Description
All our rooms are tastefully and individually furnished with your comfort in mind. All bedrooms have flat screen TV with freeview and a hospitality tray. We have a choice of single, double, king size or twin bed rooms. We can provide you with a cot or child's bed. Enjoy breakfast at a time to suit you in our dining room or conservatory, both of which overlook the sea out towards historic Piel Island. There is a pleasant Lounge for reading, or you can visit the Tower Room with all round views of Morecambe Bay and Piel Island (made famous by Martin Clunes "Islands" series)

34 miles / 30 minutes from M6 Junction 36. Follow signs for A590 Barrow. In Ulverston go straight on at first roundabout past Shell garage, take second left onto A5087 Coast Road signposted Bardsea & ‘Coastal route to Barrow’. After approximately 10 miles turn left at the round a bout to Rampside. Then just drive about Quarter of a mile, then drive to the end of the causeway, we are the tallest building on the Island, so if you drive to near the end of the road, turn left, then right into our private car park. (if you have a sat nav it will not bring you all the way)
