Chris and Karen welcome you to The Engine Inn, soo to be re-furnished, it was originally known as The Steam Engine and took its name from the steam engines that used to service the local mills of Cark. Relax by a cosy log fire and enjoy a pint of our guest ales or a glass of fine wine prior to having a meal in the bar or our non-smoking restaurant and perhaps plan your next day's activities.

Golfers can enjoy a round of golf at Grange over Sands. Lake Windermere and Haverthwaite Steam Railway are a short drive away. We are well placed for visiting The Lake District National Park. You can find lots of brochures for the local attractions situated in the bar. There are two train stations nearby Cark in Cartmel (2 minutes walk), and Grange-over-Sands (arrangements can be made for transfer to The Engine Inn). Walkers and Ramblers welcome
