The Oaks Restaurant, an award winning Michelin recommended kitchen, resides in the Broadoaks Country House. The house itself is amazing in structure being built in 1836 this Victorian property still retains many of its original features such as its winding central staircase and oak panelled walls. Wonderfully located the property is off the beaten track in the valley of Troutbeck. Finding your way past the ancient woodland and rolling landscapes you come to the house and can truly feel its romantic and charming setting. Here at Oaks you are sure to be awed as we are extremely passionate about our food served and strive to create a mouth watering experience.

We offer light lunches, afternoon tea, and evening meals. Our menu is constantly changing, virtually every day, so frequent visitors will never tire of our vast and varying selection. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings you can mull over which dish to choose from our rich and wonderful Signature dishes range that is served alongside our evening house menu. Some of these signature dishes feature in Windermere’s very own local recipe book, for purchase at Broadoaks. On Sunday afternoons you can devour our decadent Sunday lunch which ranges from 3 to 4 courses. It comprises of locally sourced meats served traditionally and accompanied with market fresh vegetables and roast potatoes all silver served to your table.
