Lanternhouse is a major arts project in its own right, a landmark building revealing the art of work. The intriguing building itself won an award from the Royal Institute of British Architects. It's open to visitors, with an array of surprises inside, including the 'star gatherer' kinetic sculpture in the lift.

The Roxy on Brogden Street in Ulverston is well worth a visit. Recently refurbished to it's former glory and combined with modern sound and projection equipment.
