Walking in the Lakeland Fells near Keswick
Walking around Castle Rigg Stone Circle near KeswickThe highest point in the Northern Fells is of course old widower Skiddaw at 931m, or 3,054 ft. Move further North of Skiddaw and you'll hit the unusually large fell High Pike. Wonder if Chris Bonnington still climbs High Pike most days that he's in? He and family live in Caldbeck.
The Southern aspect of the Northern Fells, including Skiddaw and Blencathra are more renowned than the Northern aspect taking you up to the quiet Caldbeck and Uldale Fells. Useful guides giving you a real flavour of the Northern Fells: '
