Shopping in Penrith
The centre of Penrith is a gold mine of specialist shopping. One of the most famous is James & John Graham of Penrith, facing the central clock tower. This shop was founded in 1793, and retains it's original 1880s interior giving it a real charm. It's a delicatessen offering a wide selection of local produce.
Bluebell Bookshop, with cafe upstairs, sits on Angel Lane in Penrith. The bookshop has an excellent children's book section, plus a diverse range of classical CDs.
Find a choice of specialist coffee and fine chocolate shops in Penrith Centre and around Penrith are a choice of arts and crafts centres including the Upfront Gallery & Coffee Shop, a converted 17th century barn and the Old Smokehouse and Truffle Shop within Brougham Hall.
